Gant also made his way on the silver-screen. He appeared in the 1983 movie “Stroker Ace”, the 1984 movie “Canonball Run II”, and the 1990 movie “Days of Thunder”.
Since his retirement from racing, Gant has stayed busy operating the Gant Family Steakhouse in Taylorsville, NC and his 350 acre cattle ranch and farm. Additionally, Gant has participated in every Kyle Petty Charity Ride since it’s inception. And who will you find doing roofing work on the steakhouse?
